With forty years’ experience as a professional archaeologist, Bob has a considerable knowledge of the management of archaeological field and post-excavation projects in both rural and urban environments. He also has extensive experience of work on a wide range of historic buildings and artefacts, and has an impressive track record of archaeological publication. His broad knowledge of archaeological sites and techniques is complemented by his interests in the archaeology of the Roman and later periods, and industrial archaeology.
Bob holds a first degree from the University of Leicester, and has been a validated full member of the IfA since 1986. Former posts include Senior Field Archaeologist for Milton Keynes Archaeology Unit, and Project Manager for Hertfordshire Archaeological Trust. Bob is also Associate Editor of the county journal of archaeology and history, Records of Buckinghamshire.
