Geophysics
Geophysical methods are an invaluable aid to planner, developer and archaeologist alike; they enable rapid, cost effective and non-intrusive investigation of the shallow subsurface.
Geophysical surveys are often undertaken to assess the archaeological potential of areas subject to proposed development and may also be required to fulfil archaeological conditions on planning applications.
ASC employs qualified and skilled geophysicists who have carried out hundreds of geophysical surveys nationally and internationally. In recognition of its high standards and the quality of its working practices ASC has been recognised as a Registered Archaeological Organisation by the Institute of Field Archaeologists since 1999.
